Valle de Atrisco is a historic district in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It is located on the west side of the Rio Grande and is known for its rich Hispanic culture and agricultural heritage. The valley has been inhabited for over 4,000 years and was a major trade hub for indigenous people. In the 17th and 18th centuries, Spanish colonizers established several missions in the area. Agriculture became a mainstay in the valley, and farmers grew crops such as chile, corn, and beans. Today, Valle de Atrisco is a vibrant community that celebrates its heritage through annual events like the Atrisco Heritage Festival and the Tamale Fiesta. The area is also home to several parks, trails, and historical sites, including the Atrisco Acequia and the Gutierrez-Hubbell House.
